Blueberry Smoothie to Protect Your Immune System. There are 3 ways to protect your immune system – they are 1) eating a healthy diet, 2) exercising, and 3) getting enough sleep. And while I can’t help you with sleeping, I can make suggestions on eating a healthy diet and exercising.

PROTECT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM WITH A HEALTHY DIET

Eating a healthy diet is the key to building and protecting a strong immune system. And you can help your immune system by eating plenty of fruits and vegetables that are rich in antioxidants and vitamins – which can be found in ones that are dark green, red, yellow, and orange. Try:

FRUITS – BERRIES, CITRUS FRUITS, KIWI, APPLES, RED GRAPES
VEGETABLES – KALE, SPINACH, SWEET POTATOES, CARROTS, ONIONS

And don’t forget your mushrooms. If you follow me, you know I’m a big advocate for including mushrooms in my smoothies – specifically Reishi and Chaga Powder. But I also add them to my soups and stews, along with Maitake Mushrooms and Shiitake Mushrooms.

INGREDIENTS
½ c Blueberries, frozen
½ c Pineapple, frozen
1 Banana, frozen
½ c Kefir, plain or Greek Yogurt
2 tbsp Almond Butter
1 tbls Reishi Powder
2 tbsp oats
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp Ginger, minced

INSTRUCTIONS
Place all ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth. For a thicker consistency, add ice and blend again.
