Banana Pear Smoothie to Soothe a Sore Throat. Sore throats are the worst as they are scratchy, itchy, and painful. It hurts to eat and it hurts to talk. And usually, when you have a sore throat you also have coughing along with it, which aggravates your throat even more so.

Throat lozenges are good, especially ones with lemon or elderberry. Not only are they soothing to the throat, but they also help build up your immune system. But if you suck on too many lozenges, you may end up like me – with the roof of your mouth all tore up. And now you can add that pain to your already sore throat.

Ingredients
2 Bananas, frozen
1 Pear, cored
1 C Coconut Milk
2 tbls Lemon juice
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Reishi Powder
3-4 leaves Sage
Ice / optional

Instructions
Place all ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth. For a thicker consistency, add ice and blend again.
