The Broiled Salmon Fillets were also served with a side of Brussels Sprouts and Garlic (my latest and greatest discovery) sauteed in olive oil, which added an additional 1.4 carbs and 6 calories. Definitely not too shabby of a dinner if you’re counting carbs and calories for sure – plus it was really delicious and was on the plate in under 30 minutes.

So give it a go tonight and tell me what you think. Happy cooking and best of wishes on your weight loss journey 🙂

Broiled Salmon Fillets with Miso Glaze

Broiled Salmon Fillets with Miso Glaze
serves 2

Ingredients
1 lb Salmon fillet, 2 portions
2 tbls Scallions, sliced thin
2 tbls Parsley, for garnish
1 tbls fresh Ginger, minced
2 tbls white Miso Paste
1 1/2 tbls Tamari Soybean Sauce
1 tbls Maple Syrup, sugar-free
1/4 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbls Sesame Seeds
Cooking Spray

Instructions
Preheat your broiler. Line a baking sheet with foil, coat the foil with cooking spray. Place the salmon fillets skin side down, on the lined baking sheet. Set aside.

In a small pan, toast the sesame seeds until fragrant – 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly so they don’t burn. Set them aside.

In a small bowl, mix together the miso, tamari, maple syrup, and ginger until a smooth sauce. Brush the sauce generously over the salmon fillets.

Place the salmon in the broiler approximately 3-4 inches from the heat source, and broil for 6 to 8 minutes. The salmon will be cooked once the center becomes opaque.

Garnish the Broiled Salmon Fillets with Miso Glaze with the toasted sesame seeds, sliced scallions, and parsley. Voila – delicious meal done 🙂
