What Exactly Is The 4-Hour Body Diet – Slow Carb Diet

The 4-Hour Body Diet and Does It Work. It’s a diet that was formulated by Tim Ferriss, who was looking for a way to make his own shapeup regime work faster. And after testing a variety of diet pills and formulas, he came up with a mix of supplements to be taken while following a healthy diet plan.

The 4-Hour Body Diet includes a “miracle diet pill formula” that combines several supplements that can create a chemical reaction making each substance up to 10 times more powerful. It’s a mix of garlic, green tea and sugarcane extracts, plus alpha lipoic acid (ALA) an antioxidant that occurs naturally in most food.

Those who have included this miracle pill formula into the diet claim to have lost 8 lbs a week. And the author himself, Tim Ferriss, dropped 25 pounds of fat using his own formula.

Now would I suggest taking the pills while eating fast foods and processed foods every day, and expecting the weight to just fall off? No. But when these supplements are taken while following the 4-Hour Body Diet plan, I’m sure you’ll see some remarkable results.

Case in point. I’m a little overweight myself – so I will be testing this diet and supplements myself. Results will be posted in 30 days.

HOW THE SUPPLEMENTS WORK WHEN COMBINED

When these supplements are used in combination, they can do the following:

Prevent New Fat Storage by including ALA – which helps increase the calories from carbs to the muscles or liver, instead of TO fat cells. ALA research has also shown to prevent age-related dementia and even seemed to slow the progression of memory loss in Alzheimer patients.

Burn Stored Fat Faster by using a sugarcane extract policosanol called garlic extract. Garlic extract can also lower high blood pressure by 10 points. Tests show that when people with high LDL cholesterol were given policosanol, their numbers fell by 24%.

Make Fat Cells Disintegrate with Green Tea, which can increase “fat cell death” making them disintegrate altogether. Green tea also boosts metabolism by 4% and research has found that it can also kills flu germs.

HOW TO USE THE 3 SUPPLEMENTS WITH YOUR DIET

Take all 3 of the supplements before breakfast, lunch and dinner:
Alpha Lipoic Acid: 100-300 mg
Green Tea Flavanols: 325 mg
Garlic Extract: 200 mg

Take these supplements before bed:
Policosanol: 20-25mg
Alpha Lipoic Acid: 100-300 mg
Garlic Extract: 200 mg

Eat Four Times a Day – Breakfast, lunch, dinner and one bonus meal, spread out evenly 3-4 hours apart.

Include Lean Protein, Beans, and Nonstarchy Vegetables at Each Sitting – one serving of each even at breakfast. Add a little olive oil and unlimited low-cal seasoning as desired.

Stop Eating When You Feel Full – portions are otherwise unlimited. Drink unlimited zero-cal beverages.

Binge One Day A Week – cheesecake, nachos, pizza and some “good for you stuff” like fruit and whole grains.

SAMPLE OF A DAILY MENU

Breakfast: 2-3 eggs scrambled with 1/2 cup onion and bell pepper. Include an unlimited amount of fat-free refried beans and salsa

Lunch: Unlimited grilled chicken salad dressed with vinegar, seasonng and drizzle of olive oil. And 1 bowl bean or pea soup.

Bonus Meal: Tuna mixed with hummus. 1-2 cups sliced veggies for dipping

Dinner: Unlimited steamed chicken or shrimp in unlimited clear broth. Unlimited steamed vegetables along with an unlimited amount of Edamame (soybeans).
